P. Supt. Louie T. Oppus

He completed his bachelor’s degree at the Philippine Military Academy. He got two master’s degrees in Public Administration at Manuel L. Quezon University and Management from the Asian Institute of Management. He  served with the Elite Special Action Force of the Philippine Constabulary, Armed Forces of the Philippines,  leading to the EDSA Revolution. He served as aide-de-camp to the Secretary of National Defense and to the President Fidel V. Ramos.

From Manila, he came back to Bohol to fulfill his long-time dream of eventually serving the people of his hometown. He embarked on a pro-active public outreach: visiting schools, holding symposia on crime prevention and drug addiction and holding dialogues with the barangays. He led most of the frequent drug raids, visited known drug users, and provided counseling to parents and family members on drug use. He institutionalized “166” as Police emergency number, as to USA’s 911. With numerous awards, he has tucked safely on his belt countless trainings and seminars, making him not just a splash-in-the-pan in military service.
