He is married to Natividad Redulla and blessed with four children. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Cebu Institute of Technology. That same year, he bested all other examinees of the country in the Assistant Electrical Engineering Board Examination and ranked First with the rating of 91%. He became a Professional Engineer and finished his Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of the Philippines. He was a Fellow on the Management of Power Projects at the Economic Development Institute, World Bank. He took the course in Strategic Business Economics Program at the University of Asia and the Pacific. With his excellent qualifications, he was taken in as Cadet Electrical Engineer at the Maria Cristina Hydro Electric Plant in Iligan City. He was a Participant to the Power Tariff Seminar of the World Bank in Jakarta, Indonesia; South Asia, Southeast Asia and Pacific Regional Power Projects’ Course of the Economic Development Institute, World Bank, Manila; Seminar for Trainers in Energy Sector of the Economic Development Institute, World Bank in Bangkok, Thailand.
Because of his exemplary performance, he had a series of promotions and awards and his works were augmented by various training programs and conferences in and out of the country. This achiever has shown us how a shy boy from a remote municipality could electrify and inspire a whole nation.
