Dr. Miriam Cue completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of San Carlos and her masteral and doctoral degrees in Counseling and Psychology from De la Salle University where she graduated with high academic distinction. She has made a significant contribution locally and globally, impacting profoundly on individuals struggling with addiction and other mental health issues. Beyond clinical work, she practices psychology in various specializations – clinical, counseling, assessment and industrial organizational psychology.
Dr Cue is dedicated to community-based mental health services, and provides psychosocial support in emergency and disaster situations. With 35 years of academic work as a research professor, 20 years of consultancy and advisor-ship in various multinational companies, and involvement across diverse training programs and conferences in the national, regional and international levels, Dr. Cue has left an indelible mark in the field of psychology and mental health education. She continues to be active in instituting quality assurance mechanisms for professional practice and is still involved in curriculum design and review, particularly in psychology education and in the prevention and treatment of addictive behaviors like substance use, online gambling and gaming. As a proud Boholano, Dr Cue’s achievements resonate deeply with her community. Through her advocacy and leadership, she continues to earn respect and admiration, embodying qualities that uplift and advance her island province of Bohol.
