Aside from her work as a corporate lawyer in such prestigious giants as TEXACO and CG Ernst & Young, she lends her talent and time in the pursuit of numerous socio-civic and legal endeavors such as police abuses, racial profiling, youth development, and lending free legal services. Dr. Macheta spent her younger days in the Philippines before she earned a scholarship for a doctorate in jurisprudence at the University of Houston, Texas.
