Dr. Malubay is a distinguished ophthalmologist known for his exceptional dedication to serving the community. He is married to Haydee Jacklyn Malubay, an accomplished urban and environmental planner. He completed his Opthalmology Residency in the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center. Dr Malubay is the Chairperson of the Medical Missions Committees of the Philippine Medical Association, the Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists, the International Academy of Medical Specialists, and currently, of the International College of Surgeons. He has led a team of medical specialists performing Cataract Surgical Missions all over the Philippines.
In the more than two decades of his regular annual service to Bohol, more than 50,000 Boholanos have been benefited at the helm of his leadership in the partnership on Global Elimination of Needless Blindness, giving meaning and productivity back to the lives and families of the poorest of the poor in the remotest areas of Bohol, and the whole nation, as well. Dr. Malubay’s remarkable dedication to supporting and assisting Bohol is truly commendable. He stands as a beacon of light and hope for the people of Bohol, embodying the spirit of compassion and dedication to service. As an adopted son of Bohol, Dr. Malubay has left an indelible mark on the province through his unwavering commitment to restoring sight and transforming lives.
