Dr. Dionisio D. Balite, Sr.

Dr. Dionisio was born to Marcos Tapitan Balite of Valencia and Ciriaca Salarda Dajalos of Garcia-Hernandez. He was married to Dr. Lilia Ancog-Balite and blessed with six children. He finished his elementary studies in Valencia as 1st Honorable Mention, his high school as Salutatorian, Elementary Teacher’s Certificate With Highest Honors, Bachelor of Arts at the University of Bohol and Bachelor of Science in Education at St. James college both as Magna cum Laude, Master of Arts in Education at UB as Summa Cum Laude, and Doctor of Philosophy as Ben Emeritus.

After finishing his Law degree at UB he passed the Bar in 1966. With five Civil Service Eligibilities, and having finished an intensive study on Local Administration and Development Program at UP. He was offered the job of Registrar of Saint James College (now PMI), where he eventually became an Assistant director, and later Director. As a lawyer, he was the Legal Counsel of the Consuelo Limestone Corporation and in Jagna Arrastre and Terminal Services. He also served as Vice President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. His knowledge regarding athletic meets was recognized when he was elected President of the Bohol Private Schools Athletic Association. Atty. Balite is a respected private entrepreneur. Publishing the Bohol Times, a national awardee in Journalism, brings local and international pulse to the grassroots.
