Dr. Daquipa was born in Corella, Bohol. He is blissfully married to Nenita C. Bongoyan. He finished his Associate in Arts in Pre-Medicine at Letran College and graduated from his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Santo Thomas and passed the Philippine Medical Board Exam. Since 1996 he has been a Director of Home Reach Foundation. At the same time he has been designated Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army Reserve. He opted to fly to the USA and was a Rotating Intern at the McKeesport Hospital in Pennsylvania and later held an Anatomic Pathology Residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He then held the position of General Surgery Residency at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Simultaneously he was an Emergency Room Physician at Fairview Medical Hospital and Southwest General Hospital in Berea, Ohio, a job he held with utmost prestige.
He then put up a clinic for a private practice in Loraine Road, Fairview Park, Ohio, while enjoying privileges at Fairview General Hospital, Southwest General Hospital, and St. John’s Hospital. He was offered the job of Medical Director of Galt Cocilio Medical Clinic in Galt, California and after he went to Fair Oaks, California as Medical Director of Minor Emergency Group. Dr. Daquipa also became an Emergency Room Physician at the Community Hospital of Sacramento, California and because of heightened demand for excellence in his craft, he put up the Daquipa Medical, Inc. in Carmichael, California. Aside from his license, he holds the distinction of passing the Medical Board exams of Ohio and California. He is an active member of the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons, California Medical Association, Sacramento-El Dorado Medical Society, and the Philippine Medical Association of Sacramento. He & his wife conducted the first cardio-pulmonary resuscitation session to Bohol municipal health officers. They donated adult, child and infant resuscitations for use by the Bohol Department of Health and 480 Ambubags and a defibrillator to augment the newly organized Bohol Emergency System. His surgical missions were recognized by Lions Club International as the “Most Significant Project of the Year,” beating four other finalists from four countries.
