Mr. Rene L. Relampagos

He is married to Imelda Adiong Relampagos. He finished his bachelor degree in Philosophy at the Ateneo de Manila University and his bachelor of Laws at the Holy Name University. He started his political career as Technical Consultant for Youth and Sports Development of the Bohol Provincial Governmen. He then became board member of the Province of Bohol and was elected as Vice Governor of the Provincial Government of Bohol and served until 1995.

He served as Governor of the province of Bohol from 1995 to 2001. In 2010, he became a member of the House of Representatives as representative of the first district of Bohol. As governor of the province in 1995-2001, he was responsible for some organizational development projects like creating the Management Executive Board, professionalized and strengthened human resources, created new office units that actively pursued major developmental thrusts, and initiated to organize the first successful reunion of Boholanos all over the world which is the TBTK, among others.

He was also involved in infrastructure development projects like the privatization of waterworks and electric system, construction of the new Capitol Annex Building, and the construction of Bohol Circumferential Road, among others. As a representative of the First District in the House of Representatives, he holds a triple-double record as a lawmaker; steered the committee on human rights to pass legislations, and qas responsible for the concreting and widening of various national and local roads, among others.
