Alma F. Taldo is a distinguished musical conductor and educator whose dedication has spanned over four decades. She is the founder, trainer, and director of the Loboc Children’s Choir since its inception in 1980, which has become the country’s cultural ambassador fostering a sense of local pride. Her visionary leadership has propelled the choir to popular acclaim, with regular performances all across the Philippines and abroad. Under her leadership, the Loboc Children’s Choir has won several national and international awards. She also co-founded the Loboc Music Foundation, Inc.
Her collaborations with prestigious institutions such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the NCCA, and the UP College of Music have enriched her students’ experiences and expanded their musical horizons making a profound impact to develop their talents and fostering discipline, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. She has also collaborated with the Bohol Arts & Cultural Heritage Council and other governmental and non-governmental organizations to promote cultural heritage and arts education. Her work has not only elevated the artistic standards of her community, but has also inspired a new generation of musicians and cultural advocates.
